CHALFONT Q&A – GLADSTONE SMALL

Vinny & Ted are delighted to announce that England cricket legend Gladstone Small will be joining us for a Q&A evening at our Chalfont St Peter bar on Wednesday 22nd April, hosted as usual by our very own Angus Fraser.

Gladstone is one of the most recognisable and loved figures English cricket has produced. Along with being a top bloke he was a top cricketer too. Gladstone played for England on 70 occasions (17 Tests and 53 ODI’s) and took 113 wickets. His finest moment came on Boxing Day at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on Mike Gatting’s famous Ashes winning tour of 1986/87. Gladstone took 5-48 in Australia’s 1st innings and won the man of the match award in the Test in which England regained The Ashes.

Gladstone was a one county cricketer, playing for Warwickshire his entire career. During his 20-year career with The Bears he took over 1,100 wickets and played a leading role in helping his side win nine trophies. Post playing, he moved south and now lives in Chorleywood/Rickmansworth and has set up a travel business. The bulk of this business is around the England Cricket Team’s overseas tours and each winter he takes hundreds of supporters abroad to watch the team play.

Come and join us on the 22nd April for what is sure to be another fantastic evening at Vinny & Ted. Tickets are £30 and the evening will start at 8pm.
