WHAT IS VINNY & TED?
Vinny & Ted’s is an independent bottle shop specialising in craft ales from smaller local, national, and international breweries. We will also have a selection of premium wines and spirits from smaller vineyards and distilleries
Behind our bar, there will be a selection of draught beers (and a cider) served from Ted’s Taps, which will change regularly and a large chilled selection of bottles and cans
Premium and fairtrade coffee, from our friends at Volcano Coffee, will be served by expert baristas.
Our products will be available to drink on the premises or for takeaway and our draught beers and cider will be available to takeaway 4-pint containers.
WHY CHALFONT ST PETER?
As residents of Chalfont St Peter, we are incredibly proud of our village and the sense of community of which we are part.
We believe our offering is complementary to what is already a vibrant high street. We wanted to bring a new offering to the village. The concept has been successful in other locations and by offering high-quality products, served by experts with high customer service values we can integrate into the CSP retail community.
PART OF THE COMMUNITY
We really want to work with other local businesses to provide great offerings to our mutual customers. This could include tasting packs to be served with takeaway food or offering the shop as a meeting point for local businesses to collaborate on community issues. We are really interested in talking to anyone that would like to partner with us.
WHAT ARE YOUR OPENING HOURS GOING TO BE
Our premises license has been granted as 11am-11pm Monday to Saturday and 11am-10pm on a Sunday.
Our intention is to serve alcohol to consume on the premises from 1200 to 2200, with last orders at 2130.
Drinking will not be permitted outside after 9pm.
WILL YOU DELIVER
Yes, there will be free daily delivery to SL9 Postcodes, subject to a minimum order value.
We will also be selling a monthly subscription pack so you can try new beers as they come into stock.
WILL YOU RUN TASTINGS
Yes, we will invite brewers, wineries and distilleries to host tasting events showcasing the best local and national talent.
WHEN WILL YOU OPEN
The landlord is currently splitting the unit into 3 separate premises. We will then need to undertake a shop fit-out. We think we will be open by March 2022, but hope to start our on-line business prior to that.
WHAT ABOUT THE NOISE FOR LOCAL RESIDENTS
As local residents, being a good neighbour is of paramount importance to us, and we will do everything possible to ensure that our business does not cause distress to anyone.
As license holders, we will have measures in place to uphold the four licensing objectives which are:
The prevention of crime and disorder
Public safety
The prevention of public nuisance
The protection of children from harm
We take this responsibility very seriously. Our staff will be fully trained in their responsibilities for selling alcohol, we will run a challenge 25 policy, all takeaways will be sold in sealed containers and we will encourage our customers to respect our neighbours. We will also have CCTV.
Deliveries will not be outside 9-5, bottles won’t be emptied at the end of an evening, outside drinking will not be permitted after 9pm, music will be background and kept to reasonable volume levels, but if there are any other concerns please get in touch.
